Oakura Meat Co & Fine Foods, a boutique butchery and fine foods store, needed design elements that would reflect their premium positioning while celebrating their local Taranaki heritage. We created a series of design elements including a striking banner design that celebrates the local surf culture and landmarks of Taranaki. The banner features a sophisticated typographic composition in a muted sage green colorway, listing iconic local surf spots and locations like “Rocky Lefts,” “Bell Block Reef,” and “The Point.” This design approach cleverly combines regional pride with an upmarket aesthetic, using varying font sizes and styles to create visual interest while maintaining elegance. The piece serves as both art and a conversation starter, perfect for their boutique store environment.
